Infinova completes March Networks acquisition
OTTAWA, ONTARIO, May 2, 2012 –– Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, headquartered Infinova, a leading manufacturer of video surveillance and access control products, has completed its acquisition of Ottawa, Canada, based March Networks, a leading provider of intelligent IP video solutions. The deal was first announced in December, 2011. With the addition of March Networks, Infinova becomes one of the ten largest global companies in the video surveillance market.
March Networks will continue to operate under its own identity and its customers should expect no change in the high level of product quality and customer support. It will benefit from the additional R&D and operations resources Infinova provides, allowing it to provide a wider range of solutions to its customers.
The addition of March Networks will immediately enhance Infinova’s product portfolio and market position, according to Infinova president and CEO, Dr. Jeffrey Liu. "We are excited about the opportunity to expand our business by leveraging the tremendous assets that March Networks brings to us," he said following the closing. "We are adding world class IP video solutions that have been widely accepted in both retail and banking markets. We are adding an extensive blue chip customer base. We are adding a highly talented research and development staff with exceptional software development expertise. And we are adding a proven management team committed to helping us expand our global presence."
Liu also said he expects to expand the March Networks footprint by providing greater exposure for its products and solutions in Asia and other markets where Infinova has enjoyed success.
"Infinova and March Networks complement each other in many areas such as technology, operations, and sales and marketing," Liu noted, "We believe the whole will be far greater than the sum of the parts. This will truly be an opportunity to enhance both businesses through what the other one provides, allowing the combined business to compete and grow aggressively."
